SYNOPSIS-A DREAMER'S LOVE STORY

Then I was working in a press in Hyderabad as a Sub Editor. Deepthi joined it as a Research Associate. I had many attractions there but I halted at her. She was from a noted family in the Telugu film industry based at Hyderabad in India. There was no chance for me to meet her as part of our office work. I devised plans and somehow managed to meet her. She did not have time or interest to mind me. She occasionally threw looks at me. I interpreted them in my fashion and wove a web around me.

I sent her emails as one that knew her for ages. She responded to me angrily. I stopped communicating with her for sometime and again took it up. Falling in love and admiration with beautiful girls irrationally, illogically and madly was my habit. This time it was Deepthi that had to tolerate me. She did not know it then.

My friend told me not to do it minding her social and financial status but I ventured to do it. One day I typed out a long love letter in our office itself addressing her and posted it to her. I was prepared to face any disaster on the way. She met me after receiving and reading that love letter. She handled me softly and carefully trying not to hurt me. She talked with me for one minute. She consoled me as a sensitive girl. She expressed her view strongly but vaguely. She hinted me that I had better stopped it there. She told me that morning that she was resigning and leaving our office very soon. Separation is fuel to pain and suffering in the imaginary world of a sensitive and dreamy creature.

She soon left our office. I resumed sending her emails expressing my sense of pain and suffering. She did not respond. Since there was no much interaction between us in the office when she was there, I could not fill my emails with relevant and considerable content for long. I moved into the practice of narrating her stories thereafter. I knew her in many of her previous births. She was a girl and I was a boy in all those previous births. We were born in the Indian villages and towns then. We were close friends in all those births. Anything can happen in an imaginary world. We don’t have the tangible records of our previous births. I depended on this reality and wove story after story to send her daily. I explained toward the end of each story where and when I narrated that story to her in our previous births. I did not know whether she read my emails or not.

I could not continue this one-way pursuit of sending emails to her for long. She never replied me. Perhaps she chose to keep quiet to let me deliver more and stop somewhere on the way. I had to send her an email every day I went to office and then attend my office work. This was my commitment for no reason. I was pressed for time. I did what she expected from me. I stopped this email communication soon. I sent her 64 emails and one love letter in total by the time I stopped this journey of imaginations.

Love is a universal phenomenon. It might look mad and irrational to many but it happens in all ages, in all seasons and in all places. Love fills voids in humans and connects them with the rest of the world. The more the friction to realize it among many oddities and tests, the more interesting and memorable it turns and remains. Love is enjoyable in the present and heavy burden of haunting memories in future. It influences and paints human life differently. One’s character and fate decide what one derives from it.

The above is the synopsis of my second book which I wrote this morning to submit along with my manuscript to a publisher in the US.

A DREAMER'S LOVE STORY

Dear Deepthi,

I edited the emails I sent you in 2005. I took about one month's time to edit them. I only edited its langauge part retaining 95% of the originality of the content. There are 64 emails and one love letter in this set. There are 1,28,106 words in the content of this book including the foreword. I wrote about 1000 words for the foreword. I would get it published now or sometime around this July or August. My first book is yet to be released. It is likely to come out in March. It is still with the editor. I will move out this book soon after the release of my first book.

Now I concentrate on editing my personal diaries from 1995 to 2009. I need about 90 days' time to complete this work and keep them ready for publication. I publish them when time dictates.

If you have any objections or opinions about this book, you can reach me on this platform or to my email id at rajayogi@live.com

COMMITTEE ON TELANGANA ISSUE

Dear Shri Duggal,

Congratulations on being on a committee scheduled to formally comment on the future of Telangana people. A number of committees were instituted earlier in India to advise the governments on various burning issues. You know how many of those recommendations were implemented by the respective governments. I don’t believe there is democracy in India today but a set of interest groups who fight for their selfish and narrow-minded causes in the disguise of politics, businesses and unions. There is no patriotism or a sense of national integration in 90% Indians today. Their thoughts and pursuits are centered on one question “How much do I benefit from it?” but not “Is it good for all in this region and India?”

I am 32, from Visakhapatnam district, a coastal Andhra region, currently in Hyderabad. I have been living here for the last eight years. I should not write anything about the culture or nature of Telangana people because I did not study them deeply. I can’t comment on a set of people based on my ignorance. I believe that common Telangana people are more ignorant, reliable and innocent than those in Andhra region. I do not think common people change the future of their region on their own unless it is a question of oppression and exploitation beyond imagination. The movement for a separate Telangana state was started and run by intelligent and influential people in this region over the years. Now K Chandrasekhara Rao is leading it along with his other team of activists and supporters. It is a question of their self-respect because theirs is a different culture and history from that of other two regions. I believe that a separate Telangana state must be created as early as possible to establish and sustain normalcy and peace in this region. We can’t take all decisions based on rationality and scientific thinking because issues do not arise that way and can’t be settled in that fashion. So avoid the question of good or bad in this direction. Just give it.

It is true that there is great contribution of people from the regions of Andhra and Rayalaseema in developing the region of Hyderabad. This region developed more than other places in this state only because it is the capital city of this state. Capital cities are the attractions of all in any state. You should make the people of Rayalaseema and Andhra believe that they are not losing anything by leaving Hyderabad in Telangana region. This is where your expertise has to work wonders.

Many are fighting in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions now for united Andhra Pradesh. They are fake movements and strikes. Interest groups from this region, who have large amounts of assets and other interests in Hyderabad region, are organizing these movements investing money for it hugely. No sensible man in this world ever fights to remain with the other when the other has no interest at all to live with him any more for reasons he is aware of. Telangana people can live happily if they get separated from the other two regions. When a child cries continuously for your positive decision for two hours, you have to do it to satisfy him. How it turns out should not be your concern. They know how to conduct and develop themselves on their own. God creates intelligent and visionary people in all regions. So we need not think that Telangana region perishes if it is left in the hands of its people. Even if they are innocent, God guides them.

Unscrupulous and self-centered political parties, individuals and other interest groups from Andhra and Rayalaseema regions might send you letters arguing on the point of need of United Andhra Pradesh. If you are in favor of thieves and dacoits from a given region in India, you can mind their voice as well. Interest groups always argue on false and misguiding grounds. Let them shout endlessly and calm down on their own slowly. If bad people do not conform to a decision taken by other good people, it is right to suppress them brutally. Do whatever you can to suppress the noise from the Andhra and Rayalaseema regions after the announcement of statehood to the Telangana region. You can’t satisfy all the groups equally when there is a heated up issue among them to be settled forever by your intervention and judgment. Some take it silently and others have to be treated adequately to bring to our expected path of balance and peace.

Appreciable and acceptable character is important to an individual or society. Good ones always live happily with others. Telangana people continue to be our brothers and sisters even after this separation.

I am not writing this letter representing any interest group in this state or nation. I love India as an Indian. I want to see all Indians healthy, prosperous, peaceful and harmonious enjoying the beauty and sweetness of coexistence with others around them. I am an individual thinking and acting as a sensible and sensitive Indian. India shines when all Indians think and work for India, not only their community, region or religion.

Emailed this morning to vkduggal.ccsap@mha.gov.in to share my opinion on the issue of separate statehood to Telangana. An active citizen needs to react to a given situation when it matters to him.

LOVE

Budding purely in infant’s face for his mother,
Boiling that boy’s heart for her tender care,
Building bond between hubby and his partner,
Bidding farewell to thy journey in old age forever.

Artist paints thy beauty in his works,
Singer infuses thy spell in her voice,
Writer describes thy moods and shades,
Dreamer rests in thy abodes.

Bees are after flowers, rivers are after seas,
Dramas, books, films survive with thy romance,
Births and deaths melt in the well of thy furnace,
Years passed, nobody assessed thy essence.

I am a student in thy primary school,
I can’t buy thee in a shopping mall,
I enjoy thy history and mystery reel after reel,
I envy thy tonic of thrill and zeal for all.
