PERSPECTIVE

One day I was traveling by a bus to attend a bit of work in a city. It was thickly packed. Some were involved in chat, some in sightseeing, some in nap, some were simply waiting for their places to come to get off and I was observing this overall scenario. Meanwhile a beautiful girl stole the purse of a handsome male fellow. He noticed it and conveyed the same to the fellow travelers. A few of the fellows threw words at her condemning her act. She became depressed and began to cry slowly. The tears on the cheeks of the beauty hurt many. Yet nobody tried to console her for they missed words to do that in such a context. At last one fellow rose and went to her. He looked a bit posh and rich. He smoothly asked her, “You look beautiful and rich. Can I know why you stole the purse from his pocket? You do not seem to be a pickpocket for they attend such things dexterously. I am interested in your explanation”. She said, “I have been in love with a young fellow for five years. We always remained good friends maintaining our ethical limits of human conduct. The world liked to call us “lovers” and we could not change their mindsets. We eventually accepted to be identified with that tag for we knew what we are. Recently it was discovered that he is affected with blood cancer. The doctors told that they are uncertain about the length of his life. He is counting his days on the deathbed. I told him that I want to die with him. He told me not to. I always respected his words. He is a very silly fellow and that is what attracted me toward him. I asked him to seek some boon from me. He told me to steal a purse from the pocket of any male traveler. He knows that it is a tricky and risky act to be carried out by a girl like me. He remained funny even at the gate of the palace of death. I have ventured into this act to fulfill the desire of my beloved. The common perspective of the society is that pickpocketing is mostly a profession of males. A beautiful girl stealing a purse like this seems to be a strange and odd act to many in the society for it is a rare occurrence. I observed that many remained silent at my act. They liked my beauty and so failed to assess the content of wrongdoing in my act. Had it been an ugly male fellow, everybody would have dared to call the police to hand him over to. Beauty has much respect and value in this society. This is the reason why majority of the beautiful women in the world fail to understand the realities of human life in this world. Everybody tries to please them in some way. In this process they fail to discriminate between good and bad. This is the lesson I learnt from this act. This is what my beloved fellow expected me to learn. He always tells me, ‘Understand the basic human psyche and the accepted way of the social behavior. Never go against these two if you want a peaceful and comfortable life. And, mostly try to think and act against these two if you want to understand the essence of human life in a realistic sense. You can choose either way depending on your choices. Don’t follow both. It lands you in a dilemma wherein you fail to understand yourself. That makes your life restless and chaotic’. I am following the hard route. I am interested in understanding life rather than in making it comfortable remaining on the safe side like majority in the society. I am not going to give back this purse. I have to show it to my beloved”. Everybody remained silent, including the one that lost his purse. The perspective she has toward her life looked interesting and appreciable. The issue of purse looked negligible in this perspective. My dream ended at that.

TENSES MAKE ME TENSE

The past did not appear me interesting when I was living in it for “present” mostly looks boring for it is still with us. The present does not look me engaging for I am thinking about the lost past which is looking to be marvelous now. I can’t visualize bliss in future for it has no form or certainty of occurrence. I found tenses in English grammar interesting for they have a definite structure that can be understood by anybody. The tenses around me, trying to beguile me into their wonder land of magic and mystery, always kept me tense. They made me an enigma, somebody or something that can’t be defined or refined by me or by others. Definition applies to the ones that have an understanding of the past and an orientation toward a future. I am beyond these two. I don’t know what I had been before I took this human form and I am uncertain about what I am going to be after leaving this skin and bones on the earth. I am an alien in this sense and so one can’t define me. Then, I don’t know what I am really and why I am living in this world. When I lack this basic knowledge about myself, I can’t venture to seek the advice of others to correct myself. Prior to contemplating in that direction, another important question struck me, “What is good and bad in human living?” I could not answer it and neither could others. Then I understood that I can neither reform myself nor ask others to do it for me. My conscience told me one mid night, “Live until you die and always try to hate your death. It makes your life livable. Some other creatures and entities of this world would certainly play some nominal roles around you, whether you invite them or not. Learn to cope with them. While you follow this philosophy of life, death comes to you in seconds to end your tedious earthly journey and of course other humans consider your seconds as years".

MY PASSION FOR 'DEEP TEA'

The doctor told me to avoid taking tea to save my health and wealth. I was standing alone in a corner while others were sipping it temptingly in our office one day. I rushed out to kill my instinct to do the same toeing the footsteps of our colleagues. Even there I noticed some guys and girls following the same pursuit with somewhat more interest. I waited for ten minutes jealously looking at them. I could not help and so ran into the stall. I begged the fellow to get me a liter of sweet and hot tea. He could easily understand that I was an abnormal fellow. I took a big container and got the tea into it. I was sipping it on and on. The fellows around me were scared at my intense love for deep tea and ran away from there. I was looking into the container time to time to check the depth of tea. The more deep it was going, the more love I got for it. There was very little amount of deep tea in the container and I did not like to swallow it any more. I splashed it on my white shirt and others took me to be a completely mad fellow. One of them asked me out of burning curiosity, “Why are you so passionate and possessive toward deep tea. You must have left it in the bottom of the container as others generally do”. I replied him, “Deep tea in my body can’t be seen by others. I want to keep it on my body also to tell others that deep tea is in and out of my body and soul. Nobody in the world can separate me from my deep tea. It’s mine forever. It is my health and wealth”. Some foreigner took it as a native drink of India observing my talk about deep tea and remarked, “Can I have a glass of Deepthi”. The owner of the tea stall replied to him, “Don’t mix words to coin new names of drinks in our nation. Before 1947, the British did it. In 2005, you please don’t do it. It is a beautiful name attached with the bodies of some women in India. You will be beaten deeply if you use that word everywhere like this”.

THE CAVITY OF CREATIVITY

Creativity of written nature is dependent on the dreaming capacity of a person. It is about creating a lot from nothing. The lot of the writers depends on the weight of the property of their plots of thoughts to amuse or educate others. They don’t need to research much in the outer world for the substance of their text since their inner world is overflowing with piercing currents of cognitions that cry for enough recognition soon in the external world. It is their well of wealth of beauty and sweetness of innumerable notions and passions. The emotions of these creatures stir them to vomit them on to the paper frequently. That wanted disease of these fellows helps others cure their unwanted psychological disorders automatically. If half of the humanity is living happily, it is because these pioneers of creative thought are toiling daily to show the world in a beautiful way to others. Reality kills everybody if unreality fails to counterbalance it which is created and propagated by these honorary reformists of the world in every age of human progression toward a better future. It is not enough if only the farmers are working in their lands to feed the nation. The intellectual and creative cream of the nations has also to spread its message of universal love across to make the cosmos more livable and enjoyable. Salute those dreamers of the humanity that showed others how to dream to seek the true joy of their realistic lives.
