CHEATING GUARANTEED

This evening I bought half a kilo of grapes at a hawker's pushcart opposite Secunderabad railway station. I asked him to allow me to check his weighing machine to know if he was using a right one. He spoke some words in ugly Hyderabad Hindi meaning "If we do such checks, both get troublesome". I did not give him a fake twenty-rupee note! I did not know why he gave me such a meaningless answer for my simple and rational question. Got the grapes weighed on a machine while getting back home. It weighed 420 grams only. I understood that most of the other hawkers and store operators are also cheating in the twin cities. For them earning money can be possible only through cheating. I felt angry with these rogues and idiots cheating me on a daily basis, wherever I go to buy something. In this context, I ran my thoughts a little ahead to check in how many ways cheating is being perpetrated against citizens of India like me, daily. Part of the lessons worked out are furnished below for your awakening:

1. Doctors operate upon a mother to take out her child, mostly just to get more money from the victim. How many deliveries are normal these days in hospitals. You can count. It means the very entry of a human child into this bad nation is corrupt and fraudulent.

2. When we try to admit our little ones to convents, the heavy fees are cheating. Because you want your child to study, you need to pay whatever they demand, silently.

3. Once into school, college and university education, how many of you believe that your teachers are teaching you well and that your answer sheets are getting evaluated correctly for giving you the marks you actually deserve. Education turned cheating and great business to many today. This is another facet of natioalized public cheating.

4. When you try to marry, you don't believe that everything being told by the other party is correct. You would be ready with the simple assumption, "It is common these days. It's ok. The girl or boy might have slept with any number of ...before marriage. It is enough if he/she would be fine after marriage. I can't get married if I look for v.....s only. Purity must not be my primary option these days, in many things". The very foundation of marriage system turned unbelievable. Show is enough for all.

5. Your children expect a lot of service from you as a parent. You expect more than that from them for whatever you are doing for them today. It is a kind of family business. You get them educated and want them to become great earners to get rich and resourceful partners during marriage stage. It means you are not serving them selflessly.

6. How many Indian sons and daughters care for their old parents the moment they know that there is no property with them or any kind of use because of their extended existence on this holy soil of India. They turn waste burden to you. Your life and your personal enjoyments are more important to you than spending with them or thinking about them sometime. You need your parents to serve you. They turn helpless as they grow up toward the ultimate call. Cheating at work between children and parents.

7. Police cheat you when you go to lodge a complaint saying better you avoid making things more fussy and lengthy. They advise you philosophically and professionally, "These things are common today. Leave it!".

8. You go to a lawyer when helpless in some direction. He takes the case ahead only if it is viable and that he gets something worthwhile in the process. The more the chances of getting profit from his client, the more his interest in that particular case. Whether you win the case or not, you must pay him the fees. He is a strict professional. He lives cheating others and misguiding others nicely. Advising others in a way which brings him money immediately or after some time. 60% of the lawyers and judges in this nation belong to this category. When justice itself is unjust, where do you run for dharma?

9. Democracy in this nation is another biggest game of public cheating. It is for the richest, of the influential and by the strategic. Check the records of promises and opportunist alliances of the contestants in different election campaigns. They tell a number of lies to attract you, to cheat you. They do everything spending the public money, your money, but they act before you as if they are sacrificing their lives/individual properties for you. Is it not a big circus in our nation? Voters vote to a party only when they foresee some immediate benefit out of it. Rulers contest in an election only when it is lucrative to them in comparison to other things they can do. Intellectuals spend their time discussing this public cheating. What a bloody game we are encouraging and watching in this nation?

10. 80% of the hospitals in this nation, posting huge profits every quarter and growing rapidly, reached that stage through absolute and organized public cheating. The cost of an operation depends on your ability to pay the doctors and buy the medicines they prescribe. They conduct operations even upon dead bodies if they know that the patient's dependants can bear the heavy bill before the discharge of the corpse. How many of you know why a medicine or operation costs something? We pay them whatever they demand? No questioning or rationality at work? They are doctors. You must act the role of a helpless listener and doer when they dictate you. Are our doctors cheating or saving us? When your supposed savior eats you when you go to him for food of life, who is there to help you?

11. Hindu temples are a good sign of big cheating. How many of the frequent visitors of these temples are not criminals or sinners in some field. They go to temples to seek the forgiveness of the presiding deity. I personally know many scoundrels, rogues and cheats that go to temples not feeling guilty of the sins they are committing outside the temples. Otherwise why this much of unrest and crime and curruption in this nation?

12. The relationship between an employer and employee is another facet of public cheating. Many employers I encountered during interview phases encouraged me to turn a cheat. They ask me to re-write my CV or pose such questions which I need to answer with sweet lies. I join them for more salary and comfort but tell them other rubbish for their professional satisfaction sake. They recruit me for their immediate pressing needs but pose as if they are saving me from a turmoil giving me a job with their company. I interacted with many cheats during the last four years. I simply think, "These innocent kindergarten kids are trying to teach lessons to a senior professor. What a plight of the employment industry?". If somebody is asking you to fine-tune your CV or work experience details, formative/lucrative cheating is at work. 70% of the employees currently working in various companies in this nation belong to this category.

13. Teenage love is another game of cheating. You love a girl or boy with some choices on your mind to be present in the opposite creature. He or she looks interesting and charming to you when he or she complies to whatever you like in any person or in that particular person. You find him or her more attractive as long as he or she is fine-tuning himself/herself as per your wishes or orders. If you practice unconditional love toward your beloved, for the sake of being idealist in that direction also, it can't be considered love by other common lovers because unconditional love means accepting the other as he or she is. That is the love you feel and express toward every creature you come across. Then there is no point of any special love toward any particular creature from you. Then how can both of you only be considered lovers by other common lovers. So, if you believe that you are in love with somebody more than others, it means you are subjecting yourself to a kind of self-imposed cheating. The only merit of it is, it is good cheating for yourself. We like that cheating for some reasons. No debates are expected.

14. I did not find quality or rationality in many products and services I am buying from different outlets these days. They cost differently in different places. Demand and supply or helplessness from my side often decide how much I can be cheated by the other party. I saw things at railway stations, cinema halls and other restricted/sophisticated public places costlier and less qualitative than those available in competitive and open markets in the same area. It means many cheat you when you go to some places by choice/helplessness. You buy things at the prices they impose just to keep up your image there (not questioning the injustice from the other side considering it a petty issue, though it is not really, because he is cheating many like you on a daily basis).

15. I wonder at the publicity of the government agencies. They say that consumers have many rights. Why should you alert them to know about their rights instead of punishing the criminals in the public places. It is like sending a rapist into our house and then informing us to call up the police when he is getting ready to rape somebody in our house. How funny and helpless our lives turned in this nation! Police officers died in the recent Mumbai terrorist attacks. Madam Sonia changed the CM of the state and Chidambaram took up the crucial portfolio at the center. They gave money and awards to the victims. Instead of doing their duties perfectly as politicians, they are compensating the victims of their polluted and immoral governance. They pay you five lacs if you die in a big train accident which caught the attention of the media but not even one rupee if you humbly go to a public bank and seek a loan to live on your own. They need security to give you loan but feel happy to compensate you when you die because your burden on this land is over with your death. Is this not public cheating of the governments we are honoring/bearing?

16. When millions of poor and helpless Indians are suffering due to lack of essential needs of their lives, we are watching cricket and doing such other bloody stuff in this nation and paying them hugely in different tournaments. Think how much of public money is being spent for the most essential needs of many and quite useless demands of a select few in this nation. We are honoring sports persons like Sachin and Sania with prestigious civilian awards because these celebrities and the sports they are representing are substantially contributing to the prosperity of this nation. Is it not? They are greater than thinkers, scientists, philanthropists, idealists, social reformers, admirable statesmen and such other real dignitaries of this nation, who help build up a strong India soon and so we are honoring Sachin and Sania with these awards. Is this not public cheating being encouraged by us, the youth and the builders of this nation? Think on this issue seriously. You would clearly know how you are cheating the helpless Indians in this nation. If you encourage wrong people and useless idiots in this nation, we can never become "super power" in the real sense of the terms used.

You can add your list of things to the propositions given above by me. If there are a multitude of disorders and demerits in this nation, and if we remained a poor beggar country even after 60 years of independence to our nation, the reasons are quite evident.

We are spending huge amounts of money and deploying security forces on unproductive things/persons and encouraging useless idiots in many fields.

If you prepare a huge list of every kind of considerable celebrities in this nation, checking how they earned money, earning money and how they are spending it, you would know how we are growing and shining as it is being publicized in the print and electronic media about India.

We are allowing cheats to cheat us more at various levels and trying to project it as the real development of India.

In this nation of organized public cheating, my worry about a hawker cheating me selling me less amount of grapes can't be an issue no?

India is a nation of issues from every quarter and in every phase of human life. One that can face them perfectly lives for many years unhappily and one that can't withstand such series of organized frauds around one dies early out of self-pity.

So, to live in India, today, happily, you must know one thing:

To cheat others in the best ways you know

Or

To live being cheated by everybody thinking that it is your fate

The ball is in your court.

The ball in my court is invisible to me.

I am blind.

I am helpless.

I can't kick it out or keep it there.

What a pity?

With love,
Datla Chiranjeevi Raju,
A victim of India.
